Rescue Engine 33 was dispatched with Engine Companies 28 and 35 for a plane crash at the intersection of Auburn Ave and Chestnut Rd in the Wildercroft neighborhood. While en route, Communications received reports of multiple houses on fire and upgraded the assignment to a box alarm. Upon arrival the crew found a single engine plane that had crashed into a house (which was also on fire), a car fire, and a DOA victim in the street. The Rescue Engine advanced the 250′ through side C and assisted Co 28 with extinguishing the garage fire. RE33 completed overhaul and then returned to service after 1.5 hours.
