Just before 0800 yesterday morning, #Truck33 was alerted to respond for the house fire in Co. 28s area with multiple calls and reports of people trapped. First arriving units went on scene with a 1-story, single family with fire showing. As TK33’s crew approached the building, an adult occupant presented in a basement window. The victim’s only exit up the interior stairwell was blocked by fire. The crew assisted the occupant up and out of the window and left him with EMS units, then entered the home with the engine companies where they searched multiple rooms. While operating inside, a firefighter from another company was forced to exit the front window due to high heat conditions and emergency traffic was declared over the radio. TK33 removed multiple personnel from other companies to the exterior, ensuring all were out, before exiting themselves. After regrouping, the Truck crew obtained a hand line and extinguished the majority of the fire. The injured members from other companies were treated in the front yard by EMS and the RIT units. Once the fire was knocked, the Truck was then sent back in to complete searches, which proved negative, before overhauling the entire house. All PGFD members and the civilian are reported to be in stable condition.
