Just after 0100 hours on Thanksgiving morning, #Engine332, #RescueEngine33, and #Chief33 were dispatched to the 7400blk of Annapolis Road in Company 28’s area for smoke from the building. Chief 33 arrived on scene with smoke showing from a 1-story strip mall and started the Working Fire Dispatch. Engine Co. 30 gained entry on the Alpha Side and located a fire in the kitchen of a restaurant. Engine 332 was 3rd due, laid out to the rear of the building and stretched the 250’ “Stinger Line” to cover the exposures and check for extension. Rescue Engine 33 was the Search Company and completed Primary and Secondary Searches in the fire building and exposures. Company 33 operated for approximately 45 minutes before returning to Landover Rd. This location was the former site of “SK’s Liquor and Deli”, home of the Juicy Lucy, beloved by firemen across PG County.
