Engine and Tower 33 Respond to Fatal Fire

A few minutes after midnight Box 30-04 dropped for a reported building fire in the area of Old Landover Road and Cooper Lane. The New wagon was pulling onto Old Landover just as PSC was advising there was a car into the building the vehicle is on fire. Engine 332 arrived on the scene with their own hydrant and correct the address to 6600 block Old Landover Rd and advised incoming units they had smoking showing from side A start the working fire dispatch. Engine 332’s crew stretched the 250′ 1.5″ attach line thru the front door and began an aggressive interior attack. While the Engine was stretching The exterior team on Tower 33 placed ladders, forced entry to the exposure, removed bars from the window, and went to the roof to cut a hole. The Tower interior team began a search and opening up for the engine company. Crews searching inside located a male inside the vehicle who was beyond help and left in place. Company 33 remained on the scene for a few hours helping the investigators.
