Just a few hours into the new year, the Rescue Engine was special called to Silver Hill by Battalion 3 to work as the 2nd squad. By their arrival, Engine Co’s 29 and 26 had extinguished the fire involving one of the cars. Rescue Engine 27 was still working to extricate the driver, having removed the doors and roof. However, the victim’s lower limbs were still pinned by the dash and engine block. RE33 completed the extrication by displacing the dash, motor, and driver’s seat and the victim was removed from the vehicle for transport to the landing zone, where MSP Trooper 2 was waiting.
