Just after 1100hrs, Engine 33 was dispatched as the 4th due Engine to the 7200blk of Donnell Pl. for an apartment fire in Company 23’s area. While enroute, PG County Communications were receiving multiple phone calls for multiple addresses stating fire on multiple floors. Engine Co. 23 went on the scene on the Charlie Side with fire showing from three floors of a garden style apartment building. Battalion 3 started a 2nd alarm on arrival, and had Engine 33 standby on the Alpha Side with a RIT handline after picking up Engine 5’s split-lay. Engine 33 later relieved an engine company on the top floor and assisted with overhaul operations. Engine 33 operated for approximately three hours before returning to Landover Rd.
