On December 6th and 7th, Kentland conducted a 2-day Truck Company Skills seminar, part of our ongoing internal training program. Members from Berwyn Heights VFD and Hyattsville VFD also participated in the drills throughout the weekend. Saturday’s skill stations covered flat roof ventilation, forcible entry, and residential search. After a full day of work, the men ate the famous “Mick McKenzie” baked ziti, followed with a presentation by Chief Riley on the Brice Trossbach LODD in St Mary’s County. On Sunday, the drills focused on peaked roof ventilation, firefighter packaging and removal, and VES. Another invaluable training in the books, giving everyone an opportunity to refine and improve their truck company skills.
