Just after noon on October 19th, while the men of Company 33 were working hard getting the new Pierce Ladder Truck in service, a first due box was dispatched for the 2100 block of Kent Village Dr. #Engine332 arrived on scene with fire from a window on the Charlie side. The Kentland Bundle Load was deployed, as the Engine had to position at the only nearby hydrant over 200’ past the house. Inspired by the Detroit FD, the Bundle Load is an efficient way to reverse lay an attack line connected to a leader line when a standard forward layout is not the most efficient water supply strategy. Engine Co 33 quickly located and extinguished the fire and searches proved negative. Company 33 remained on scene to overhaul and wait for investigators before returning to Landover Rd.
