At 1720 hours, just as units were clearing a 28 Box, Company 33 was alerted to respond to Box 28-10 for the house fire with people trapped, sending the wagon first due and the truck second due. #EngineCompany33 arrived to find a 1-story single family dwelling with smoke showing, stretched an inch-and-a-half line, located a room off in the D quadrant, and quickly extinguished the fire. A search was also initiated ahead of the arrival of the special services, which proved negative. #Truck33, responding as the 2nd due truck, laddered the rear before conducting secondary searches while #Chief33A assisted with interior operations. The incident was quickly scaled back and crews returned to the Landover Road firehouse.
