Kentland’s mini pumper takes high frequency calls in place of our engine company to better protect the first due. These calls include service calls, medical locals and outside fires. This afternoon at 1630, #RescueEngine33 was dispatched to an outside fire in company 13’s first due. The men of company 33 marked the mini pumper up and took it in place of the rescue engine in order to keep all 3 crews fully staffed on Landover Rd.
Mini Pumper 33 arrived on scene to find smoke showing from a shed. Mini pumper 33 then added an engine company. The crew stretched the 300’ inch and a half attack line and took their own hydrant across the street. The crew knocked the fire and returned the engine company. The crew from mini pumper 33 operated for approximately 2 hours before returning to serving the greater landover area.
